All it takes is one thing in your childhood to traumatized you for life, but in Cre’s case, it was two. The death of his parents and the feeling of abandonment of his best friend, Josephine. Cre Carter has always been his own man, knowing what he wanted out the gate. After his parents leave, he and his siblings a legacy, and Cre is determined to have their name live on forever.
Cre Carter is dangerous, angry, and a force to be reckoned with. The city of New York has never seen anything like it. Cre gets money, and if he doesn’t eat, nobody eats. Growing up knit tight with his siblings Cre know family values, and he’s willing to do anything to protect them. Even the parents who are no longer around ten years later, he is out to avenge their death. When Josephine Westbrook reappears in his life, she doesn’t know it, but she opens a can of worms that may pertain to his parent's death. Cre doesn’t care who has to pay, he’s willing to shed blood and make the streets feel his pain. But when his pain is projected onto Jo, he must make a choice, take the high road or low. Cre is unsure if he can be a bigger man; deep down inside, he is a child scorned, a child with a vendetta, and someone must pay. But the lingering question remains, is Cre willing to cede control, and move on with Jo, or is his payback more important.
